Consent Storage & Cookie Settings

Your choice (accepted / declined) for the video-embed consent described below is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a traditional cookie, so we can remember it without asking again on every visit. This storage is technically necessary for that purpose and does not itself require separate consent under § 25(2) TTDSG. No data is sent to us as part of this — it stays in your browser until you clear it or reset it below.

Contact Form

When you use the contact form, the data you enter (name, email address, subject, and message) is sent by email to info@voncollas-films.com via our SMTP provider, solely to answer your inquiry. This data is transmitted by email only — it is not stored in a database on this website or its server. Submitting the form requires actively checking a consent checkbox.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent, given via the checkbox) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, where applicable).

Storage period: the resulting email is kept only as long as needed to process and answer your inquiry, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

Embedded Videos (YouTube / Vimeo)

Project pages can include videos hosted on YouTube (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) and Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc.), both based in the United States. To protect your privacy, these videos are not loaded automatically when you visit a page. A preview image is shown instead; the actual video player is only loaded after you actively consent, either via the banner shown on your first visit or the prompt shown directly on the video before it loads.

Once you consent and a video loads, YouTube or Vimeo may set their own cookies and process technical data such as your IP address, browser information, and viewing behavior, for their own purposes. This may include transferring data to servers in the United States. We have no control over this processing — please refer to Google's Privacy Policy and Vimeo's Privacy Policy for details.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Settings button above — this resets your choice so the consent banner is shown again and no further embeds load until you consent again.

Hosting & Server Log Data

This website is hosted with Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany. As with any web server, technical connection data is processed automatically for every request in order to deliver the page — this typically includes your IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, and browser/device information. This is not stored as persistent per-visitor tracking data; it is processed only as far as technically necessary to operate and secure the website.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectify (Art. 16), erase (Art. 17), or restrict (Art. 18) the processing of your personal data, to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (Art. 7(3)), without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
